The Bronx Bombers Part 2

Let's of course start with our current Yankee team captain and one of the best shortstops to ever grace MLB. Derek Jeter, has played his entire baseball career with the Yank's. After signing a deal just about a month ago giving him another 3 years in the Bronx as the Yankees shortstop. In 2000 Jeter became the only person in ML history to win the All Star MVP, and World Series MVP in the same year. He has the all time hit record, .317 his career batting average is highest among all players currently playing the sport. He has been selected as an all star 11 times, and has four silver slugger, and five golden gloves under his belt.

 Posada, woo hoo what can I say this man is amazing and in my opinion one of the most important players on the Yank's team. Despite his age Jorge was a key player in getting to the World Series this year. He has been selected for the all star team 5 times in his 16 year career, Posada is the only ML catcher to ever hit .330 hitting average or better. With 40 doubles,20 home runs, and a 90 RBI in one season this makes Jorge Posada a force not to be reckoned with. He started out in the minor leagues as a second baseman before gaining is coveted catcher position, after becoming a catcher, Posada has been a member of 4 World Series teams, 5 All Star appearances, and 6 AL Championship teams.

Andy Pettitte is a left handed starting pitcher for the New York Yankee's and in my opinion a fine one at that. At present Pettitte is a free agent, so his return to the Yank's is unknown as of now. Pettitte has in his career played for the Bombers from 95-03 where he left to play for the Houston Astros. He rejoined the Yankees in the season of 2007, going on to win 5 Championships, and is MLB all time post seasons wins leader with 19 won games. His first major debut with the Yank's came in 1995, where he went on to make the Al All Star team in 96, where he ended up (sadly I Must Say) coming in 2ND behind Pat Hentgen for the Cy Young Award.
