I am not going to preach in this hub about going green, recycling or buying organic material. I am not a huge advocate for being environmentally friendly. Should I be? Sure! Should we all do our part? Of course! I think I do what I can with what I have, and the things I have learned. However I do want to share with you some amazing Eco friendly products.

  • Cod and comfy Tom's Slip Ons- These slip on shoes are comfortable as well as environmentally friendly. They are a waxed canvas fashion slip on. They are made with all organic materials and a cushioned leather foot bed. http://www.toms.com
  • Jimi Compact Sports Wallet- This wallet is amazing, made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. The Jimi Wallet is not like your ordinary leather wallet instead it is hard, making it waterproof and splash proof. It has all the features as a regular wallet with a little extra amenities. The wallet can be hung from a belt buckle buckle or around the neck.
  • Bamboo iPhone Case and Ear Buds- The ear buds and case are made from sleek and renewable all natural bamboo. This is not only a great product for the environment, but it is also very cool looking.

I did this little hub because I found some of these things very interesting because of the fact that they are Eco-friendly. I think my main reason for not doing as much as I could to help save the environment is simply it seems more expensive. " Well at least that is what I thought"! I found these gift ideas to be very inexpensive and Eco- friendly products are very attainable. Not to mention there are so many different product ideas as well as your every day products that have gone the way of being environmentally friendly. T- shirts, sneakers, coasters, purses and you get the picture. So if I have learned anything from researching for this hub it is " There is so much more I can or we can do and going green might not be that hard"!

Another way to give a "green" gift is to NOT give stuff, which takes up resources for manufacturing, transportation, and then ends up in a landfill eventually...

I like www.tisbest.org for charity gift cards that are great green valentine's day gifts for guys, if he adores his dog he can give the donation to the ASPCA, if he's a hiker he can give it to the Nature Conservancy, etc. It's a gift that really gives back AND doesn't take up space or resources!
